Readers Making Movies Competition

After many technical issues, we can finally announce the winners of the second round of the making movies competition.

The winner of the independent category is Kamilla Zozirova with Snow White. Well done Kamilla, we loved your costume and the woodland setting.

We had so many entries for the school category it was really difficult to choose a winner, so difficult in fact, that in the end we decided to have 2 joint winners. Congratulations to Ksenia Carot and your school’s entry Emma by Jane Austen. A fantastic production, superb filming, costumes and acting. Well done.

Our second winner is The Woman who Disappeared which was sent in by Georgina Lavezzari. Brilliantly directed, great soundtrack and use of ketchup in the bath! We also really loved the separate bloopers video. Congratulations.

Our runner’s up were Novocherkassk Secondary School with Romeo and Juliet, High School 105, St Petersburg with The Wizard of Oz, Moscow Primary School 1723 with The Crazy Sandwich Bar and Lemonosovskaya School with A Picnic Surprise.

The 3 winners will receive a 8GB Flip MinoHD camera and the runners up will receive 10 Macmillan Readers of their choice.

Congratulations to all the winners and runners up. Please email quoting readers video competition in the subject, with your addresses and choice of readers to claim your prizes.
