I’ve chosen this book because I like adventure stories. I have heard about a lucky spy James Bond. I wanted to read about him.

Ian Lancaster Fleming was born in 1908 in England. He worked as a newspaper journalist, a banker, a broker. During the Second World War he was an officer in the British Navy. In 1952 he became a writer. His first novel «Casino Royale» about an agent “007” James Bond was written in 1953. I know some other books about Bond. They are “Doctor No”, “Diamonds are forever”, “Thunderball”.

My first summer book was “Goldfinger”. It is about James Bond and his fight with Auric Goldfinger. First time Bond meets Goldfinger when Goldfinger is cheating one man called Du Pont. Then Bond’s boss M orders him to watch Goldfinger and find out how he took the gold away from England. Bond follows Goldfinger trying to reveal his mysteries. Then Bond gets to know a terrible plan about stealing the gold from Fort Knox. Bond informs American Secret Service and Goldfinger’s company is destroyed. Then Bond kills Goldfinger. James Bond keeps his life and gets a girl-friend.

I think James Bond is lucky. However, in some situations he doesn`t think much about his actions and, as a result, gets into trouble.

I`ll recommend this book to people who are keen on adventure stories.
