I chose the book “THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA” because I had heard from my teacher that it is a wonderful story. I expected that this book would be about a phantom which lives in the Opera House.

The story takes place in Brittany, France. The story is about Christine. When Christine starts singing in the Opera House the phantom is always there and sits in the box 5. Christine understands that the phantom is Erik. One day Erik takes Christine away from the Opera and they go to a beautiful place where there are candles. There Erik tells Christine that he loves her but Christine says that she doesn’t want to stay with him. Why? If you want to learn what happens next you must read the book.

I like all the story, there isn’t a part which wouldn’t be wonderful. The best part of the Reader is where Raul and Christine walk on the beach and the worst part of the Reader is where the phantom takes Christine away from the Opera House. I think the characters are amazing because they are so believable. My favourite character is Christine because she is beautiful and she has got a wonderful voice. My least favourite character is Erik because he takes Christine away from the Opera House.

I think the story is interesting, exciting and a little strange. The author’s style of writing is great and brilliant. When I finished the book I felt strange and proud because this was the first book I had read in English.

The author did a good job and I believe that if I were the author I wouldn’t change anything.

I like the book “THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA” because it is simple but wonderful. If you enjoy reading books about ghosts and love you will love this book.
