I read this story, because I saw a nice colourful book on the shelf (you know girls are attracted by everything bright) and it had a really interesting name. What is more, it seemed to be the second part of the book which I had already read. I am interested in reading so I have chosen this book.

This story is about Mia who lives in New York. She is studying at school. Mia has the first conference on TV. Now she is popular at school as a cheerleader or a jock. Her Algebra teacher and her mom live together. Her mom has a baby, so they want to get married. The wedding is at 8 o’clock, but Mia’s mom doesn’t come. What happened? Mia’s mom and step-father are in Mexico and they get married. Mia is shocked. In the morning her father is lying that her mom is in a beauty salon. Then Mia goes to the Rocky Theater with her friends and she is happy again.

My favourite character is Mia, because she is a girl with two lives. It’s really amazing to read about her and her friends and at the same time think of the situations the youngsters get into. In my opinion, she is a true friend, because she doesn’t have secrets from friends.

Meg Cabot made her book as a dairy of a teenager and it is exciting for me to know what Mia thought about every situation as I’m a teenager as well. Meg Cabot wrote many stories, but it is the most fascinating one.

I will recommend this book to all girls, because Mia and her friends are similar to our friends, they also study at school and have fun. I think girls will like this story and read it up to the end.
